Stefanie Coutu, Social Work & Counselling Services

Stefanie Coutu provides virtual and in-person social work, counselling, and end-of-life guide (doula) services for people aged 12+ living in BC. Telephone and video call sessions are available across BC; in-person services are available in Prince Rupert, BC. Mental health and other supports are available to individuals, couples/partners, families, and group s. Social work services include administrative tasks, such as those requiring a registered social worker's input or signature (referrals, income assistance applications, treatment applications, etc.). Stefanie specializes in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a specialized trauma therapy.

I recognize that counselling is not one size fits all, which is why I utilize an integrative approach. Integrative therapy combines different therapeutic approaches (ART, ACT, DBT, CBT, EFT, etc.) to create a personalized and comprehensive treatment plan for individuals based on their unique needs.

Counselling is the confidential and collaborative effort between counsellor and client to develop acceptance, possible solutions, and clarity about issues causing emotional turmoil. It offers support, growth, and new perspectives in challenging times. I work to create a non-judgmental and compassionate space for you to set transformative life goals and strengthen connections with the things that matter most to you.

Together, we will make a plan for moving forward in a good way and towards renewed horizons.
Inspired by mindfulness, embodiment, Indigenous (Métis), and land-based healing, I strive to provide holistic and culturally safe services. I view you as the expert on your life and healing journey, while offering respectful, compassionate, strengths-based, and trauma-informed support on your path to balance.

As we meet, guided by the Métis way of kaa-wiichitoyaahk—we take care of each other—I am here to support you. I look forward to meeting you!
