Community Jigging Workshop

Join us on FRIDAY, June 20, 2025 for our annual Community Jigging Workshop!

Nisga’a Hall from 6:00-8:30 pm

Everyone (Métis and non-Métis) is invited to come out and dance with us and V’Ni Dansi dancers! V’Ni Dansi is a dance company from Vancouver, BC, that dances traditional and contemporary Métis dances, like jigging!

You will learn how to jig the Métis traditional dance steps while moving to live music by Métis fiddler Andrew Goulet! Everyone is welcome. If you are unable to dance, please join us to watch, enjoy live music, and cheer/clap on our dancers!

Refreshments and snacks will be provided.

Please be sure to wear comfortable clothing and layers—you are bound to work up a sweat! Moccasins or comfortable footwear is encouraged.

This event is being put on as part of our festivities for National Indigenous Peoples' Day! Please see the event page and poster for more details.

Can’t wait to have a stompin’ good time together while we jig the evening away!
